This year marked the bicentenary of the internationally renowned Royal Yacht Squadron Regatta (RYSR), hosted on the Solent shores of Cowes in the Isle of Wight. At Desty Marine, we jumped at the opportunity to help prepare these stunning vessels for a competition like no other.
The RYSR is a professional sailing event that was founded in 1815 by high-society gentlemen who were interested in sailing. They organised racing events as a prominent feature in these regattas and so started the annual RYS regatta and one of the most famous yacht clubs worldwide.
